The Making Of Hip Hop Mix CD

By Michael Young

As many would assume that Hip Hop simply means a genre of music, there is much more to it. When you hear people rapping or being more outspoken, or even dressing in a particular way, it is called a culture. With Hip Hop Mix CD the music evolved into a culture which many people, up until today, follow religiously.

One of the biggest reasons people enjoyed this genre is because of the dance moves that you could create when the music came on. Breakdancing specifically is one of the more popular styles because it exudes the feeling of being cool. It was widely used in competitions where people would create groups and challenge each other for prizes that range from money to fame.

There is also a certain style that people stick to when they want to come across as fresh or cool. This includes baggy pants, baggy shirts and even bandanas. It also involved wearing large boots to portray a certain look of being tough and unapproachable. Even women wore their clothes this way and were popular for doing so.

Playing rap music, which is also a term for the said style of music, was extremely popular. In fact, most of the artists or rappers never got the fame they wanted compared to the DJ s who were playing their songs at local parties and clubs. The setting normally involved a crowd of youth, turntables and unlimited rap music.

Graffiti is a prevalent form of expression. In every country, you will find in certain areas and on certain buildings, shapes, words and messages. This is generally done using spray paint and can either tell a story, show what they feel or make a statement. In the poorer areas during this era, graffiti was more common. And, although these areas were the most colourful, they were also known to people as the most dangerous.

Rap music became the be all in the music industry. What it meant for other artists is that they would have to suffer from drops in sales if they couldn t match up or join the genre. Because of this, many artists started joining forces with rappers to create mixed music that will still help them to make sales. This way, they would also increase their chances of remaining popular.

After some time, the world of digital started to take over and people were exposed to other music and being able to download it meant that rap had to take a backseat. Although their sales were not as strong as it was in the 80 s, the culture remains in the hearts and lives of many people. It goes further than enjoying a certain style, it is more about proving who you are as a person and standing up for what you believe in.

As an ethos, this has brought together millions of people worldwide. They share the same feelings, thoughts and actions to express a greater good.
