Learn More About Dallas Lesley Series

By Sarah Morgan

Good painters are not easy to come by in fact; art has been overrated these days as people are using the computers to make art rather than the conventional way of doing it manually. That is the reason that when you find someone doing artwork the old traditional way, you cannot help but feel admiration and respect for them. A good example of an artist that has made it by using their hands and a stroke of the brush is Dallas Lesley.

The artist lives and works in Sydney Australia. She is known to do a series of painting one at a time. One of the series that she did was the winged series. Here she focused on birds and humans. However, the humans in this series. However, her focus of the series is birds, and the people who are in the paintings are in black and white. She does this as a way of accentuating the strongest characteristics. The pictures are used to exude both love and trust, purity and intelligence, as well as resourcefulness tempered that has cheeky playfulness.

She also has another chain. These are known as the Ocean Scape. They are famous for the way the capture the sea, land and the sky. It brings out an image that is very rich with impressive forces. They showed how the skies and sea were fused in a fleeting moment of the Twilight. This image is magnificent, and it brings out a sense of adoration and serenity.

The Exotica Paradiso is also another series that she did. Here Lesley showed her interpretation of the exotic shapes as well as the tapered forms of the tropical zones, rain forest, flora, and luscious foliage. The images show the leaves and petals speaking out like they had a sensual scent and palpable element of life that was giving rain to the earth the painter gave way to vibrant colors thus creating contours of nature that are sensual.

In the past few years, there have been other additions to the chain of paintings. Her work is also seen to be associated with previous works of Christian Anu and Tim Shaw. In this specific collection, there are also self-portraits experiencing herself as a very confident artist.

You can also make good use of her The Morning After or The Party is Over series. The series is also called Travelers. She uses shadow and light to bring out the best visions to be admired by many. These paintings were done by the artist as she toured Spain, France, and Italy. You can also see her Australia series although she has not done so much on this.

The other series is the immersion Series where she mainly explored the reefs and marine life of Australia as well as around the world. The paintings are layered with texture and are used to capture the sense of drifting beneath the surface in the reflected light from the world above.

She has made it to many finalist awards, and her paintings have been taken to numerous exhibition. It is easy to find images of some of her paintings online. It feels great to see images done by such a passionate painter.
