Actually, gophers are burrowing pests that spend their life underneath and stay there for a long time. That is why people are plagued with these rodents for various reasons.

As they start burrowing beneath the surface looking for food such as alfalfa, grasses, and other plants, they often leave distinct large mounds of dirt. These mounds can simply ruin a healthy lawn and hinder with mowing tools. Every gopher has sharp teeth and may attack anytime without you noticing it. On the other hand, you should also place the trap, cover and protect the area as much as possible. Placing the trap is basically a simple process. Just make sure to protect the area so injured gophers cannot escape with the traps.

You also need to cover the holes with a cardboard or plastic to keep the lights out of the hole. The rodents have actually poor vision but they can see light. Thus, if they notice light coming from the trap, they would never come out. You just have to wait for a few minutes. Once trapped, remove them and figure out what to do with the dead gophers.

This chore will soon become less devastating and could lead to a gopher free garden and law.
