How To Design Handmade Organic Lip Balm

The lip has a delicate and thinner skin than the one found on the face. Having chapped and cracked lips is a both traumatizing and embarrassing especially during the winter. However, it is worth noting that some natural products are poisonous so you will need to use only what is scientifically proven to be harmless. The procedure is quite simple, it entails pouring your desired oil in a measuring cup, addition of solid butter and beeswax. Eventually, the mixture is thoroughly stirred to achieve uniformity.

The water should be heated gently until all the contents of the cup have melted. After removing the cup from the pan, make a point of wiping the outer surface to ensure the water droplets that does not get into the cup. Add a few drops of essential oil, and thoroughly stir the mixture. Pour the mixture in to small tins or tubes.

You should purchase a filling tray, if you want your life to be easy. The tray will allow you to make larger volumes of the balm. When the lip balm is cool, cap, and put a sticky tag on it. A heat gun can be used to ensure the top parts are wonderful and smooth.

There are host of natural oils that can be used as moisturizers. Some have more benefits than other does; hence, you will need to be careful during the selection process. Make a point of using herbal product and natural moisturizing agents.

To make the lip balm healthier, infuse it with herbs or natural colorants. During the designing process, pour some powdered herb into the Mason jar, add oil, cap it, and store it for 4 or 6 weeks in a dark cabinet. It will stay form almost a year before expiring. Be careful when you are adding essential oils, which are citrus based such as lemon and bergamot. They tend to increase sensitivity of the skin to sun.
